annabananabee : I agree! The episode before this one I sobbed as the fire grew bigger and bigger. But this week I cried less. I still cried, but I definitely wasn’t sobbing. I think they handled the death really well, and I felt more at peace with him dying in the hospital rather than getting burned alive by a fire!
nykkee : It’s mostly very touching, which is why I cry. This episode was particularly sad, but not all episodes are like this. It really is an amazing show and I highly recommend it!

I definitely ugly cried through most of it. Also, my husband 100% bought all new smoke detectors on Monday (he’s a fan of the show too!).

Apparently tonight’s episode is even worse because we’ll see the aftermath and funeral.

I watched it last night and cryed like Tom Brady after the Super Bowl, (ie like a big baby).

A very good show, been watching it together with The Resident and The Good Doctor

The Is Us is AWESOME! unapologetically uncynical and definitely manipulative. But it rarely feels cheap. All those tears are earned!!, go ahead and have a big, cathartic cry.
