Accept the gift and buy the shoes!

That is way too much money to accept as a gift and spend on shoes! Politely decline!

She’s basically buying you a really nice, expensive wedding present.  There’s no way to decline politely.  Just say yes, buy the shoes, and be incredibly grateful and appreciative!

@AlliMayWedding:  Can I just say how much easier dress shopping was?! It took me an hour to find and purchase my dress. It actually ended up being the first one I tried on.  I’ve been shoe shopping for months now!

Exactly the same for me!  Make sure you check the reviews for whatever shoes you buy.  All of the low heel Jimmy Choos that I looked at ran small.

Only because you’re unlikely to wear them again (maybe NYE?), I say it’s too much for ME. But when they’re gifted, rock it.

@AlliMayWedding:  Re comfort: my JCs are the comfiest shoes I own, by far; likewise my Gina’s (similar price-bracket, and similar styles). I can’t walk in cheap shoes over about 3 inches; they KILL my feet; But I can wear my Choo’s for hours 🙂

Another alternative, along with the wedge ones you’ve posted, could be the JC Isabel, the one’s I have; I personally prefer them to the wedges, but the heel is still very low, and because they’re enclosed, they stay on your foot and are comfy:

I’m super frugal and would never spend that much on shoes…but it’s obvious she wants you to have this, it’s a gift and I think you should graciously accept it.

Jimmy Choos are beautiful and comfortable.  As other posters have said, she wants to do this for you.  Try them on.  See how they feel!  It’s a gift and she really wants to do this!  I think you will rock them and once you try them on, you will love them!

Keep us posted!  I can’t wait to see how you feel once they are on your feet!

I’m glad to see that you decided to accept her gift! You’ll have to tell us when they come in

Since I’m living vicariously through you, can you take pictures when you try them on? And slowly, ever so gently, buckle your straps. And lightly caress the sides? And …. Sorry. Shoe porn got to me.

someone once told me, if someone wants to give you a gift then accept it. don’t feel guilty about it because they want to do it for you. you didn’t ask and you didn’t feel entitled to get the shoes. accept the check and buy the shoes!
