IF they’re comfortable and IF you will wear them again and again after the wedding, then get them. Think of them as an investment.

Cute shoes! I’m with you in thinking it’s pretty crazy to spend that much on shoes I think $80 is a lot for wedding shoes.. lol. I mean I would probably only wear them once …although with those you’d probably make time to wear them. lol. But she IS offering…and she seems like she really wants to buy them. I would tell her no way at first but if she keeps insisting them you might as well take the money and buy them!

$250 = great price for your WEDDING SHOES.

If they make you feel comfortable and sexy, then go for it.

Dude…Buy the freaking shoes.  She OBVIOUSLY wants to do something for you.  You obviously LOVE the shoes; and it’s obviously your freaking wedding day so be awesome and buy the damn shoes.

Also, it would be nice, since your aunt saw your FB post, if you posted something awesome when you got them.  Like, post a picture of the shoes and put, “Received my wedding shoes today.  Thank you to my AWESOME aunt who bought me these totally-over-the-top-gorgeous-fantastic-ridiculously-expensive-but-I-LOVE-them-awesome-wedding-shoes.”  (Not that’s a lot of hyphens!!)

    Congrants.

Buy the shoes.  Buy the shoes…Buy the shoes.

TAKE THE GIFT!!! You say she is crazy for shoes, so she is buying you them! She loves shoes, and she is probably looking for ways to constantly reach out to you to build and maintain a happy relationship. So take the gift, thank her profusely, rock the heels and when any one asks about the gorgeous things, brag about your fantastic MIL!

@AlliMayWedding:  I love your final choice! When I read the part about you having had surgery on your ankles, I was a bit worried, given the heel of the first pair of Choos seemed to be a little too high.

Those peeptoes are perfect. And you’ll get a lot of post-wedding wear out of them for sure, metallic peeptoes go with so many things. Honestly, it’s so worth splurging on well-designed and well-constructed shoes if you have had surgery…I am a big believer that you get what you pay for when it comes to shoes. And what a sweet gesture on your stepmom’s part (I wish I had a stepmom as nice 😉 Congrats and enjoy!
