I hope Locky comes home soon!  That’s so sad.  If he is used to being out of doors maybe he’s just off on an adventure…=(

Aww, I’m sorry your cat is missing πŸ™

maybe in cat language he told her he was just going out a bit so she’s not worried?  Haha, I don’t know what to say… Cats are weird.

OK. I understand you are distraught since your cat is missing. But feeling resentment towards your other cat is not fair.

I do believe animals feel love towards us and other animals, but it is not the same as humans. They do not communicate in the same way that we do. You are projecting your human thoughts/feelings onto an innocent little animal.  It’s not fair. Our pets need us to take care of them and love them, not resent them for not showing enough sympathy.

I hope your cat comes home. Put some tuna out, maybe it will lure her back if she’s hungry.

He’s probably spooked about that intruder cat honing in on his space. He’s probably being very cautious. I’m sure he’ll find his way home. When he does, clog that doggie door! No good can come from it now.

I hope your kitty comes home. The second kitty is still a kitten so they are more resileant and dont care so much.

@Pokemon: oh, I never imagined that it was that bad! Like I said, I think you’re just feeling like this toward arebecause you are so upset.  But you really should work on moving past the resentment feelings, it’s not good for either of you. I do wish you luck finding your cat.

Oh gosh I hope Locky comes home πŸ™  I don’t think it’s wrong to feel upset that your other kitty doesn’t seem to care.. agree that she’s still young and may not realize he’s missing..

A cat from my childhood was lost/disoriented/not sure exactly what happened during a bad snowstorm.  He didn’t come back for 2 weeks!  But he did come back.  You still have hope!  Cats are tough little creatures.

I work at a  vet hospital.

Best friend siblings who are split from their litter as happy as can be!

If you take one cat to the vet, is the other cat distraught? no.

Do they probably think the other cat will be back at some point probably. Your other cat did not “pass away” in front of the kitten.

All the kitten knows is the cat is gone.. just like his siblings are gone. He is confused. Probably assumed it will come back.. and if/when they dont.. they eventually just evolve and forget.

its also a kitten.. there wasnt a 5+ year bond between them.

Female cats are much less outwardly affectionate than males, and tend to be more independent.  Hang tough even though I know it’s hard.  He’ll be back.

Hugs.
