Something is seriously wrong with the political climate these days that a man can get away with saying this, much less still have a chance at getting elected in any form of public office! This represents my sentiments exactly:

@RahlyRah:  It makes me afraid to live in this country! God help us if people like this actually get the chance to force their beliefs on the rest of us.

Wow, I wonder what other magical powers the female body has! Teleportation, perhaps?

I sure hope he doesn’t get “raped” by some guy who thinks his statement is a form of his beleifs (and I say “doesn’t” because I don’t think it’s a thing to wish on anyone)… then maybe he’ll change his tune or wording…

What a freaking idiot!  And what constitutes “legitimate” rape, exactly???

This reminds me of one time when my mom told my sister that rape victims don’t get pregnant, because you have to orgasm to get pregnant, and rape victims aren’t going to have an orgasm.  I was like, “WTF, Mom???”

Some people have really effed up views…

I am completely against abortion, but relying on bad science to support your views is inexcusable.  Pregnancies from rape most certainly do happen, and those women deserve compassion, not questions about whether it was “legitimate rape.”

Personally I am against abortion. (Here we go…yet another hot topic on the bee).
I do however think, in many, NOT MOST, but in many cases couples use abortions as method of birth control.
I once had a co-worker say to me “yea but at 8 weeks a baby isnt a baby yet so its ok to abort it”. UM HELLO??? Can someone please explain to me how or WHEN during the pregnancy a baby “becomes” a baby?????

A baby is always a baby!! at the time of conception to birth. People really drive me nuts!

NOw..in cases of rape, I honestly do not have an opinion. No matter what is said on this topic people are going to criticize and judge.

That is messed up on so many levels I don’t even know where to start. Oh, I know…placing the word “legitimate’ in front of rape!

Seriously, you bees should come join us in Canada, where we have less right winged nut jobs running for office.

The truly sad thing is there are idiots out there who will believe him and vote for him!
