So I met with a florist and got a quote for 45 centerpieces along with bouquets, bouts, corsages etc. My question is- what happens with the vases after the reception? Does the florist pick them up? Do I keep them?
I know I can ask her, but its almost midnight on a friday night and I am curious!

We “kept” ours. Actually, we let guests take them home and many people re-used the vases after the flowers died.

It really depends. You’ll have to ask the florist. Sometimes you’re renting the container and sometimes it is part of the whole package and you can keep it.

Are you supplying the vases or are you renting?
( if they are yours) Typically guests can take them home as favors/gifts. If you just leave them, I assume your venue will throw them or take them/give them out and if you want them, just designate someone on cleanup to collect them for ya!

You should check with your florist. Usually (I say this based on the florists in my area) you are renting the vases and they need to be returned to the florist. We are actually providing the vases (mason jars) so we’ll be keeping them or letting guests take them

Some people “rent” them from the florist and either the florist picks them back up after the reception or the couple is responsible for returning them.
I am providing my florist with my vases just in case any of my guests want to take the centerpieces home.
