@ohheavenlyday: Girl, let me tell you.  Our registry experience was my “this is why i’m marrying him” experience.  We were an hour in, and I wanted nothing more to do with registering for gifts. He held me together and we got it done – it took 4 hours, but it was done.  I just hated it, and usually I love shopping!

You are so not alone. 🙂

I’ve found registering to be a completely painless experience – but I’ve done it entirely online and I started months ago. 🙂

I was really looking forward to registering but seriously, after like an hour in I wanted to start scanning random crap just to be done with it. We probably scanned for another hour and then decided to give up and do the rest online from the comfort of our recliners. It was actually much more enjoyable doing it online.

@JennaBride: I love to shop just as much as the next girl but I found registering to be exhausting. Although, it definitely didn’t help that we registered on a Sunday and had to deal with a lot of other couples as well.

I also did mine online over a few weeks, so it wasnt that bad. I don’t know that I could have done it in the store…

I’m doing mine online too, and the only frustrating thing is that some stuff on Macys.com goes out of stock pretty quickly after it’s on sale.

@MrsLongcoatPeacoat: Yea, that’s frusterating. We spent months looking for a china pattern that we liked and finally found it at Macys. I checked our registry a few days ago and everything but the coffee mugs are out of stock. How exactly does that help us? Back to the drawing board…

We just started ours last night online, and barely picked 10 things before getting extremly bored and putting on a movie! And I love shopping, especially online.  Not lookign forward to getting started again!

We went to BB&B and our moms were in town and they came with us…there were so many opinions, by the end I was going crazy! It was stressful because we just realized we needed everything, and it was so overwhelming to try to pick out every last thing. We had more fun the next day at C&B with more decorative stuff, and I’ve enjoyed adding items online. That first trip was not what I expected, though! I thought it would be fun but it was pretty exhausting.

Hahahah, we hated it too! BB&B is all ‘you need 3x the gifts than guests=600 gifts’. We realized that’s for their benefit and since we prefer cash anyway (hello student loans), we ended up with about 200 gifts between two registries. It was definitely a couple weekends of work, though!
