@Stellar Magnitude:  Sorry to hear!  I, too, think that rain is really depressing.

I can empathize with you because I was in NJ visiting friends/BM’s last week during Irene.  My short vacay was interrupted because there was a mandatory evacuation of Cape May.  So, we drove back to Bridgewater and basically stayed inside for almost 3 days because of the rain (and winds).  My flight was cancelled three times and I was never more happy to arrive home.  I am thankful, that my friends homes were not flooded and they only were without electric for a few days.

Hope the sun comes out for you soon!  Smile

We will gladly take it from you! We have the longest hot and dry summer on record, I think like 50+ days of 100 degrees or more

We are so lucky that we do not have weather extremes here-no hurricanes, tropical storms, tornados, typhoons, floods etc.

When I see the devastation on TV, I am so sorry for those involved.

That’s insane. I lived in NOLA for over half my life, and saw more than my fair share of Tropical Storms and Hurricanes, and an awful lot of street flooding, but I don’t remember ever seeing that much rain in such a short period of time. Stay dry!

It’s just nonstop, soul-sucking rain here in BR. Thankfully our tornado warning was downgraded to a watch. Strangely enough, my neighbors were just shooting off fireworks. Scared the poop out of my dogs. 🙂
