I have a bad bad habit!
It used to annoy the crap out of me when talking with pregnant woman how they used to turn every conversation into a pregnancy conversation. I would actually avoid talking to a neighbor because I could say “What a nice day.” and she would be sure to say something like “it will be a nice day when I finally deliver this baby!”
Ok, I am not that bad. And it does seem like at least half the time the other person brings up the baby first. For example, I posted something on facebook about how the flu shots hurts worse the next day. Then come all the comments about labor and epidurals!
But the other half of the time I do it too. I don’t want to be that person that people avoid! Does anyone else find themselves bringing up pregnancy way too often???

Go to http://www.stfuparentsblog.com/ for a reality check. No one wants to be that parent! (Totally not saying you are . . . )
I find myself doing the same thing about wedding stuff, and I’ve had to make a conscious effort to reel it in. 🙂

I am always aware of that so I try never to bring it up in convos. I kinda made myself a promise that I wouldn’t be that woman that always talks about being pregnant. So I try to talk about other things. I don’t think people want to hear about it or they’ll ask and then I try to keep it short. I’m sure you’re fine though:)

Part of the problem is that even if you never bring it up, other people will. I didn’t want to be that pregnant person (or that parent), either, and I tried very hard never to bring it up. But I found that other people did. So, just go with it and enjoy it! You’ve earned it!

I do it too, though I think I am getting better at keeping my mouth shut. I find people bring it up a lot, though, which then reinforces my bad habit. Hopefully I am not driving anyone crazy yet, although I think my husband is worse than me.

I have become one of those people lately 🙁 It is all I have to talk about though. That and Greys Anatomy lol. How lame is that.
I moved to a new town about a year ago, and well it is hard to make friends in a small town and I don’t really do much any more. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t for a lack of trying, I sub’d for a curling team last year and I have taken a few different aerobics classes but I just haven’t managed to meet any one yet.
It sucks. There is one girl that I work with who I have befriended but she is getting married so that is all we talk about. I wish I had more to talk about I really do.
