Helllooo bees!
I have been a veil search for quite some time. FMIL offered her veil, Fiance hates it, decided to find something new (to me). Been stalking websites for used veils and I found this one that I really like. What do you think of it with my dress? Would you suggest something different – different style, length, edge, etc.? I’m wanting to spend less than $100. I just cropped everything but the veil.

@donna_saur: I tried on that same Mori Lee! I can’t rem the # of it but I know I tried it on with a rhinestone trim veil to match the sash I had tried it on with.
I think it would be a nice touch to make have a trimmed veil since the dress doesn’t have any beading or anything. It just adds a little extra to it! I like the length of maybe a fingertip with it as well!
What about one with a little trim on the edge?

Yea I would get a bit of detail to the veil… do you like bling or lace? Its nice when the veil has some pizazz!

@weddingbound: That’s the one! First time I’ve seen any bees in it recently! Mine is wayyyy big – I lost some weight between ordering and it coming in! I wanted something a little poofier. I won’t be wearing a sash or anything. Probably just some earrings. I’m just not “blingy”, so I didn’t even consider a glitzy trim! Maybe I should consider it – I also know that sometimes it makes them more expensive, that’s part of my hesitation.
I was originally considering a lace trim – just seemed like too much!

@KimmySumShuga: I’m struggling with any kind of trim! My current thought is to wear flowers in my hair with the veil instead of trying to pick a trim. Like I just mentioned, I really like the poofy-ness of this one without being HUGE. And I do like lace, but I’m worried it would be too much, both expense and style-wise. Is there anything super understated as a trim?

I think since there isn’t any tulle in your dress, you should get some kind of thin satin trim on the veil so that they look like they go together. Maybe try a 1 tier instead of a 2 tier veil?

@donna_saur: I really love that veil with your dress. I like how both the dress and veil rely on structure and line of the fabric rather than beading/rhinestones.

@NovaGrey: I really like the volume of this one! I thought it would be fine since it’s plain edged – I’m not a huge fan of satin, but I haven’t seen a satin-edged veil before!
@nocleverbeepun: thank you! I was hoping for something like this! I love the volume of this veil, but I don’t think I’d want it long and poofy. And I think a beaded or rhinestone trim would just be too much for me.
@oneyearout: thank you!

@donna_saur: I do like the volume of the one you picked as well! If lace or beading isn’t your thing then follow your heart on what best suits you! Either way you’ll be gorgeous!

@donna_saur: Yep here are some examples of satin edged veils just so that you can see if you like or don’t like them

@NovaGrey: thank you for the pictures! I do like the look of it! I think the structure of it bothers me, like they look a little stiff? They definitely stand out, draw more attention than the plain one.
ETA, the double edge one is growing on me.
