DaniGirl03 :  You have an 11 year old child, so no, on that level you don’t have more in common here than on boards with kids.

It just makes 0 sense to be posting on a CFBC thread. Your posts scream of ‘Im not like other moms, I’m a cool mom’.

tommywantwingy :  I hadn’t seen it before so I was a little iffy about it since my fiance chose it, and he is notorious for picking bad movies, but it was actually pretty good! I loved that I found out where “alright, alright, alright” came from! lol

Booked a spontaneous trip to visit my brother because my allergies where bugging me at home.  It was so nice to breath properly for a weekend!

I love this idea! And a lot of the reason I am CFBC is because of the “luxuries” I’m not willing to give up – so I see how this type of thread is relevant to those of us who choose to be kid free.

Yesterday I slept until 10:00am and then I spent all day in bed, watching movies, eating food, and having sexy time with Darling Husband. Literally did nothing productive and it was awesome.

I am in the middle of buying gear and planning a two-week backpacking trip for this summer…so excited!

Just those few for now, but I love having a life that revolves around what Darling Husband and I feel like doing and nothing else.

Darling Husband and I spent most of the weekend lounging around, playing video games and eating junk food. I was too lazy to go to the store so I had groceries delivered. Then I took a bath. Then I worked on a huge canvas painting that has been slowly coming along for the last month.

This week sucks because we’re moving in with my in-laws for the next six months to save up for a cross country move that we’ve been planning for years. It’s not ideal, but it’s still two things I wouldn’t be doing if I had kids.

itsachickenwingthing :  not really, I just want to keep the few child free posts actually child free. Not sure why that’s apparently such a problem.

I just feel like this is like something I would post 10 years ago on Facebook…

Then the “10 years ago you posted” thing pops up… and I feel embarrased of my former self and wish I didn’t have that attitude back then.

    That’s me, though. Carry on!

abouttodoit17 :  are you a CFBC bee? Did you say a damn thing when I asked if I could join in the conversation? No. I didn’t think so. The CFBC bees I’ve spoken to have all been more than happy for to join in their convos. My life doesn’t revolve aroung my child. I literally just want a place I can talk to about grown up stuff that has zero to do with children. My life doesn’t involve TTC, diapers or breastfeeding and hasn’t in a really long time. I don’t think bees with toddlers are really going to understand my life with a pre-teen and that my life isn’t really anything like theirs. I don’t want to spend time aroudn parents, that I have zero in common with beyond the fact that we both have mini humans.

If you have an issue with me again please pm me and I’ll be happy to discuss it with you.

lovelyruby :  Oh man living with inlaws is literally my worst nightmare. I don’t like living with room mates and I’ve never heard of a someone who lived with their inlaws who didn’t get their boundaries stomped etc. Wishing you lots of patience for the next 6 months!

You guys are fighting with each other about who gets to call themselves CFBC and who doesn’t have the right to call themselves that.

    Do you realize that?

DaniGirl03 :  Yes im child free, and I’m struggling to see where you asked? You just started posting and mentioned your kid and your kids birthday pretty swiftly. So on a CF thread there’s kids birthdays being discussed like 2 pages in. It’s just annoying that there literally always has to be some snowflake parent who has to get involved. No one said you have to talk about your kids all the time, or to other parents about their kids but why do you have to post about your day and your plans here? They really have no relevance when it’s about gaging how CF women spend their time and what they enjoy most about the lifestyle.

DaniGirl03 :  Thank you! Luckily they live in a giant house with more rooms than they need, so we’re getting the whole upstairs (which is actually bigger than our current apartment). But I’m definitely nervous. Trying to keep my chin up knowing that 6 months from now we’ll be moving nearly 1000 miles from them.
