    DaniGirl03 :

You’re not a “special little snowflake” because I’m irritated at how you’re being treated.

You identify with a CFBC lifestyle. Who are they to say you aren’t allowed?

abouttodoit17 :  Please find the post and show me exactly where I have talked about my child in a single CFBC post where I have mentioned anything about my child other than a comment stating I’m not CFBC, but I will be living that lifestyle in 7 years. I didn’t talk about my daughter’s party or anything to do with her. I did what every single other person on this thread has done, discussed my weekend plans that didn’t involve children, my holiday plans that don’t involve children and recomended a resort.

I’m not preaching the mommy lifestyle, I’m not talking about my child, I’m just engaging in conversation with other bees who enjoy similar things to me.

Sansa85 :  pretty sure a key part of the child free lifestyle is being child free. How can you possibly identity with it if you have a child?

lovelyruby :  How is your relationship with them before you move in? I don’t have inlaws thankfully, both of FHs parents have passed away. My first marriage I had them, I would have lived in a box before I’d have lived with them, nope not a chance, would have driven me crazy.

She explained how she felt. It’s not my fault you didn’t bother to listen to what she said.

Sansa85 :  It’s one person. I’m just leaving it alone, it’s simpler now. I’ve been nothing but polite and resepctful and I’m just going to continue to do that.

I’m 30, have been married (& subsequently divorced), and I am CFBC unless I end up with someone I think will be the world’s most excellent father.  I have to admit that I will never be the “mommy” type… someone is going to have to pick up my slack, so I won’t have kids unless I find someone willing to be my other half in that regard.  We’ll see how it goes! Haha

Last week, I snuggled with my dogs all morning every morning.  I took a long bath one evening and gave my feet some love.  Full buff, polish, and all.  It took me an hour and a half of beautiful, quiet leisure time, and it was lovely.  I read two books, went to see the new Star Wars movie, had two hours on Sunday morning to laze in bed and enjoy being with my SO, went to brunch for a friend’s birthday and drank half my weight in bloody marys… one of my girlfriends had to cancel her food order and leave, because her husband called and said the kiddo had spiked a fever. I, on the other hand, was able to Uber home and take my time.

I love kids and may have them, but I am happy with my choice not to at this time. I can do whatever I want when I want, so long as the dogs get a pee break every 8 hours.

I just got back from 4 nights in Las Vegas with Fiance and our best friend couple. It was a blast! It was like the ultimate adult playground!

    barbie86 :

    Slovenia!  How exciting!

    This week, because I’m CFBC by choice I . . .

Spent, spent, and then I spent some money.

I got an emergency Keratin Express, which, I decided mandates a new flat iron, so I bought the same one my stylist uses.  And, need it even be said?  A new batch of hair products.

Then there was the new pile of skin care products I just could not live one more day without.  I even found a moisturizer that Dh likes and will use.

And just for fun, we bought a King size adjustable bed.  Though that’s something of a necessity.  A few years ago, I had back issues and had to sleep sitting up.  Well, now it’s a habit I can’t break, but totally miserable, you don’t shift positions enough that way and I have constant headaches from the lack of neck support.

All in all, it was a pretty amusing week.

I enjoy travel, beautiful things, and a lot of freedom because my husband and I are both highly educated and employed in high-paying careers. That education was a choice facilitated by certain privileges. Being child-free is a choice facilitated by certain privileges, too – exposure to sex ed and access to contraceptives, to name a few. 750,000+ teenagers will get pregnant this year and 50% of them will be unable to complete high school.

Before whining about your mistreatment on WB, try to imagine the responses to a thread titled “This week, because I am highly educated and well-paid, I…”

I could clutch my pearls, aghast that anyone would step into my HIGHLY EDUCATED BY CHOICE (HEBC) space to complain about retail shifts and non-transferable community college credits, but that would make me an incorrigible asshole. Do you see how obnoxious you seem from the outside looking in? And I say that as someone who doesn’t have any kids and who isn’t interested in Mommy posts or culture.

For what it’s worth, I don’t see a lot of posts about CFBC bees bettering themselves or their communities with all that free time and extra cash. Give the high horse a rest.

barbie86 :  Sorry, if you feel I overstepped. I specifically asked on the roll call if anyone would mind if I contributed, and several people clicked helpful and not a single person had an issue with it. I regularly chat CFBC about the things we share in common. I will be more respectful of th CFBC threads in future.
