Do you really want someone who is belittling and ugly to you to marry you guys?? I would think your fears are justified in some respects… I would suggest finding someone who you really connect with

man, i just read your other post about this lady trying to reschedule your whole wedding for you because she decided to give your spot to someone else, even though you have a contracted time.  is the reception venue somehow connected to this place?  why was she able to contact them about changing your time?

who exactly did you sign your ‘contract’ with?  does the chaplain have ownership over this place or something?  you have a contract, this is not negotiable, she can’t just change it when she feels like it.  you and your hubs should go down there, contract in hand and tell her she (or whoever) signed a binding document.  the fact that no money was exchanged doesn’t reduce the validity of that document.  read what you signed, does it state provisions for the case of either party breaking the contract terms??

go over this woman’s head if you can, and def find another officiant, you have time.  fyi, ask a local mayor or retired judge if they would do it (if your state allows.)  you do not want someone with those bad vibes and control issues flubbing your ceremony on purpose or something!  good luck to you.

What about a Justice of the Peace and be the officiant at your wedding?
