their last name isnt young– the name came from the young couple buying an old house & making it their own. love them. cant believe how ridiculous this old house was!

I love their blog! I actually only discovered it a week or so ago, so I’m glad it’s still going to exist so I can catch up on all their old posts. I’m so jealous of their adorable home and can’t wait to have our very own.

Seriously, they went for max freak out factor in that title!  I guess they need to make a big deal about it in order to get people to re-direct.  The old site will probably be taken down really quickly.

I think the new name is cute.  I just love THY…oops, I mean YHL!

I second kolivej on laughing at This Old House’s lack of Web 2.0 savvy.  What a PR mistake.  Blogs may not have as big following as magazines (or maybe they do?) but their following is pretty darn loyal and SUPER engaged.  I mean really, what magazine has regular 2 way communication with their audiance?

I’ve always said that blogs are the magazines of the future.  Magazines are so old fashioned and this is just proof.
