We didn’t use anything, but I think we likely should have…. I don’t think most of our guests heard us, although I did try to speak loudly. No one complained after at least, LOL!

We did. Luckily we were able to borrow from my husbands step-dad, who is a musician…but you can also rent them. That was something that was really important to me…that our guests would be able to hear us.  I hate going to weddings, then not being able to hear the vows.

Yeah, we had a mic hooked up…. but no one turned it on!  So, no one could hear anything.  I’ve been to several outdoor weddings, and you cant really hear anythign with out a mic.

I just went to one on Saturday and they had Mics and I wouldn’t have been able to hear a darn thing if they hadn’t!

We’re having an outdoor ceremony and we are getting cordless mics from our DJ.

My Fiance has been pushing for mics the whole time – I was skeptical because I really don’t like to hear my own voice, ESPECIALLY that loud! But I have seen a bunch of weddings on Four Weddings where the guests can’t hear the bride and groom because it’s too loud outside.

Unless you’re having a very small wedding where everyone will be within a few feet from you, you should be mic’ed. I hate it when I go to a wedding and I can’t hear anything. It kinda ruins the whole ceremony for me.

As for our wedding, our DJ had one of his spare set-ups outside close to where our ceremony was taking place. Darling Husband and our officiant were mic’ed (wireless) and I was picked up off of DH’s mic.

We did use one, it was definitely necessary! We paid extra to have our band take care of that for us.

Our officient held the mike the entire time…except when the readers were reading. He held it up to us as we spoke.

Our officiant and my Darling Husband had clip-on mics. Thankfully the venue provided all that so I didn’t have to worry about it.

We haven’t gotten married yet but the DJ is providing two wireless mics, one my FH will wear and one the officiant will wear, and they say you will be able to hear me through FH’s

Our officiant had a mic but our readers, Darling Husband, and I didn’t. We spoke in our normal voice. I don’t remember anyone saying they couldn’t hear us.

We planned too…. but because of the rain in the area the hotel wouldn’t let us. The only people who could hear anything were our parents in the first row.  It was very windy and on the beach so we had the noise of the waves too. I really wish we could of used the sound system.
