So, I’m getting married on November 10 of this year, and I feel like I should be stressed out or something by now. There are some times I even forgot it’s just two months away. We will be engaged a year on October 8th, so maybe because it’s had a long time to set in? My shower is Sept. 29, so maybe by then it will feel real for me. I was just curious when it finally sinks in, or if I’m missing some crucial bride gene.

The first little inkling was the day I mailed the invitations, but even then it wasn’t so real-feeling. It really, truly hit me when we actually lined up to make our entrances at the ceremony. I looked at my dad and said “Holy shit, this is happening.” He just laughed and was like “You’re just now coming to this conclusion??”

I got married this Sunday. For me, it became real the day before my wedding. I was going shopping with my DH the day before and it hit me BIG TIME! I was like, I’m going to be his WIFE tomorrow! I can’t even really articulate the feeling other than I felt like a family, a unit, and not two separate people. It became very real. In a good way.

It felt “real” the day of our wedding driving to the venue. The words “This is it, this is it” kept repeating in my head.
The whole day felt like a dream, I couldn’t believe the day was really here. When you spend hours upon hours thinking about how you want your wedding to look, to feel, who’s going to be there, the food, the music…. everything, it all comes together and all your hard work will is now for you and your husband to enjoy.
There were many many moments that for me that made all the stress and hard work worth it but one comment from a guest comes to mind often. She said “If this was the TLC show “Four Weddings” and I was one of the brides I’d give your wedding a ten!!!. Score baby…. “Where’s my honeymoon”?…lol!!!!

We walked down the aisle together and has 2 weeks holiday before, so it didnt feel really REAL until we stepped through the gates of our wedding terrace. I have a photo of the exactoment too. I had butterflies from my head to toe, nice happy excited like I was about to burst out of my skin butterflies. Waking up to my husband for the first time was also really nice.
