I’m fairly sure I want a reception dress. I never considered it before but my mom brought it up and I thought it about it and think I would like one. The ceremony is a traditional church wedding and my dress is a puffy aline/ballgown type. I bought it mainly because everyone liked it and it was on sale. I’m thinking of getting a lace dress with keyhole back for our country/rustic themed reception. I would probably be getting it at a sample sale this fall. So my question, are you glad you had a reception dress to change in to, was it too much of a hassle/not worth it, or what was your experience? Thank you!

Well I’m not married yet and I’ve only got one dress, but it sounds like you’re not super in love with your first dress? If that’s the case then I think you should totally go for a second lace dress, I think that style is beautiful as well.

Im not married yet but I got two dresses for my wedding. A traditional ballgown for ceremony and a mermaid/”fun” dress for reception. People have made comments about my reception dress (ie wow it’s so fancy, your train is so long, how u gonna dance in it etc), but Im happy with my choice and i figure I only get married once. Won’t get another chance to do this again =)
