I picked Gemma. I used to really like Alanna, but now I just think of Honey Boo Boo.

@banony:  I like Alanna. I think its a pretty name and not common (in California). It was a well-known name when i lived in New Zealand.

I’ll be honest, I don’t like any of them.  Alana would be the only one I’d pick from that list.  But I have a hate-on for most girls names.  I seriously hope we only have boys because I’m afraid we’d never be able to find a girls name.

My name is Meridith.  So I voted for …  Meredith. Tongue Out

I am big with phonetics…would you pronounce her name Al-ANNA or Al-ANA? Personally? I like Felicity.:)

I like Gemma. I’m not really a fan of Erica because it seems dated. I also don’t particularly like Hollis because it sounds like a boy name, but I know a girl named Holland which is cute. She goes by Holly sometimes as a nickname.

@banony:  I voted Meredith. I also think Thea is really pretty, but I’d worry that the kid would always have people mispronouncing it (like “they-a”).

Edited to say – spill the beans! Which ones do you like, vs. your guy?

I would go with Alanna as Alana is a completely different name, In My Humble Opinion.

I’m biased because my sister is Meredith, but I love it! My parents named her that with the express purpose of calling her Meredy, which is such a cool name IMO.

@banony:  I like them all except Hollis and Gemma. I keep suggesting Felicity to my husband (we have a boy name we love but no girl name, and I’m 20 weeks preggo) but then he’ll say, “fellatio” :/ So i like it, but there is that…..
