Love that you chose a classic solitaire setting! You are right in that since the 1.5 is not set, it does look bigger than when it is set. You really can’t go wrong with either size but I would choose the 2. I’m a 4.5 finger with a 2.2ct equivalent moissanite and I love the size on myself although I probably wouldn’t go any bigger.

As far as metal is concerned, I would be more concerned about the platinum than the wedding band. Since you are choosing a non platinum band, I’d worry about it scratching your platinum e ring even if it’s a pave band. I can be hard on my hands such as accidental knocks in my line of work and my jeweler suggested 18k white gold because he says platinum can be more delicate, especially for a higher setting that is more prone to bangs.

Keep us updated on what you choose and share pics when you get it!

Heres mine! I was playing with stacks at my jewelers hehe

1.5. My e-ring’s just over 2 and my finger’s a 4.5-5 now and I actually wish it was smaller, so I’m biased in the downwards direction. But I’m sure you’ll get plenty of “go big” bees to counteract that so it’s really up to you!

By The Way ahimas is the bee with the inspiration pic you posted (I know because I always post her set as being one of my absolute faves) and her diamond is around 1.1 carats I think. The proportions of her set are perfect IMO.

Also, keep in mind that desirella’s cushion above (even though a 2.2 carat equivalent) measures 7.5mm which is the same as a 1.5 carat round.
