I loved coloured shoes as well. I went with my wedding color (purple) and got lots of compliments on them!

I had blue shoes. I knew I wanted colored shoes and just happened to fall in love with some blue ones! I think my colored shoes added a nice pop of color to my wedding day look.

I’m doing blue shoes with rhinestones, they add a fun element and I can’t wait for photos of them

Whats your personal shoe style?  Do you generally perfer neutrals or bright colours?

I almost went with a neutral metalic shoe, but in the end found a great pair of (inexpensive!) coloured shoes that I really liked.  I’m the kind of person who likes to wear fun, coloured shoes all the time, so I think it was a better reflection of my personal style.

Coloured! Mine are pale teal sandals (Mexico wedding), completely covered in elaborate crystals. They’re so fancy! I’m excited!

If I wasn’t wearing a coloured sash I would definitely be wearing coloured shoes. I love that look!

@VegasBrideOctober2013:  Go with a fun colored shoe! It could match with your bouquet or just be a random color you love. What about a pair that matches your FI’s tie/hankerchief (if he is wearing one)?

Go with what makes you smile when you think about it! I almost went with blue shoes as my something blue (we eloped at City Hall, but no guests at all). I ended up going with light purple that were a little shimmery. I wanted to sparkle up my shoes and my husband was not super enthusiased but wanted me to be happy. We happened upon my shoes (made in a sparkle fabric) and he pointed them out b/c he thought that they were pretty. We had several purple things so that was our color and I’m so glad I didn’t go wth matching shoes

Go with your favourite colour and go for comfort.
My bouquet might be light cream pink & yellow/orange; my Mary-Jane shoes are teal (as shown as in my avatar). I chose a pair I would wear again after the wedding. The bouquet would provide a nice contrast against your dress. It’s quite easy to match pink as a contrasting/complementary colour. 🙂
