I really don’t think you should care too much about other girls getting the same dress unless they’re getting married at your wedding too.

my dress was from David’s Bridal and I think their quality is relatively okay (I got my dress for $200). my experience with the consultant was less than satisfactory but it’s whatever. It’s a good place to start looking for your dress.

that’s a gorgeous dress, I must say 🙂

If you want affordable its a great place, however, they have horrible customer service.  So as long as you ignore the consultant and focus on what youre there for you’ll be okay.

I have gone there probably 6 times already trying on gowns and each time I am a mess because the customer service is just so horrible that it puts me in a bad mood.

But I do have a dress from them but I am under dress regret so may have to go back and try on a few more

I bought a dress at a boutique sample sale my first time looking. I had bookmarked a few David’s Bridal dresses before going to the boutique… so.. just to make sure I made the right choice, I tried on my bouqitue dress, then went to DB and tried on 5 dresses.  Wow just wow.  The quality of fabric was abysmal.  The crinoline and bling were cheap feeling, not to mention the stitching.  I tried on mostly ruched (sp?) bodices, but one flat-front with side panels.  The stitching was so poor that it gathered at the seam.  Of course, I was trying on the store dresses that had been tried on by many many many girls before me, but so had my boutique dress. I was also turned off that DB kept telling me I’d have to order earlier and at a higher price because I’d need extra length (I’m 5 ft 10.5).

I got the closure I needed.

I don’t live in the states, (my Bridesmaid or Best Man currently does, and we’re having a Destination Wedding in NYC) but we bought her Bridesmaid or Best Man dress from David’s bridal, and I thought it was great, it had a great variety, and I thought that the consultants there were really helpful and knowledgable.  I personally didn’t like the fact that you all try on your bridal gowns together, I mean it’s different for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, but I think privacy is important when you’re trying to have YOUR moment.  Buuuut…  I guess if you wanted that you’d go to a boutique and pay boutique prices and get a more individulised service

I loved the dresses at Davids…..

But the consultants made me feel terrible.

Eye rolling–

Irritated comments–

Just because I wouldn’t buy a dress in 20 (Yes…20!) minutes.

I walked out.

Without buying anything at all.

I had a great experience at DB.My consultant was AMAZING! I had 2 appointments with her and found my dress on sale on the 2nd appointment. My dress was on sale for $398 but rang up for $199! I bought the dress in the beginning of February and when I came back to have it altered last week, she remembered me (she remembered my heels I wore to my appointment)! I can’t really speak for the quality of the dress, (I am horrible at quality) but since I am having d DW/elopement I dpn’t care that much about it, I mean I’m gonna wear the dress once for maybe 5 hours. Hope that helps!

My experience at DB was realtively good. I went to 3 different ones too. They even let me exchange my original dress for the one I wore. My original dress was Oleg Cassini and I ended up with Vera Wang White. Both were very good quality.

WB won’t let me upload photos of it for some reason but here are some photos from another thread:

They REALLY irritate me with how they sell your information. Will the phone calls/wedding magazines ever end?!

What I didn’t like about David’s was that my consultant left me to go to another bride!  Then she’d come back to me after her.  She was back and forth back and forth.   I had to have my mom and best friend tie the corset.

I had a really great experience at David’s Bridal.  I was the only girl trying on wedding dresses..and my consultant was really nice and helpful.  And she kept giving us discounts when she rang us up.  The only problem is, I wouldn’t give them your phone number.  They will call you for other services..and it’s really annoying.

I had a horrible experience at DB.  You can get better quality gowns for $1200 elsewhere.

I went to the David’s in Mississauga ontario for my reception dress, my mother’s dress and to preview some Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses….the consultant we got ended up HAVING to leave us since they were short staffed (a couple people had called in sick)…..

I had no problem just going along trying on stuff….my Maid/Matron of Honor kept grabbing different items for me and everyone else (I ended up buying the dress she had said would be perfect when she saw it online…lol…she knows me so well)

The consultant agreed that the styles i liked were great but WAY TOO SHORT for someone in their 30’s (like seriously, if i bent over there’d be some issues)….so she tried her best to find something, but all the styles they had in shorter gowns were that short….

I say go and try…if you don’t like it, don’t buy anything….

I had a great experience at David’s Bridal.  Had tried on dresses at a DB in Louisiana while in town visiting family so my mom could get to watch me try dresses on and the consultant still was awesome(even though she knew I def wasn’t buying a dress that day).  My sister did try on dresses there for her Maid/Matron of Honor dress so I made sure when I called the location that the same consultant got credit for the sale.

Tried on dresses at DB out here in AZ thinking that I was likely gonna order a dress I had fallen in love with on  Ann Taylor’s webisite.  Ended up LOVING one of the dresses I tried on at DB, found out it was on sale and actually dress discontinued so I went home with the dress I tried on.  Consultant was awesome and me and another bride were the only ones in the store trying on dresses.
