I was thinking of incorporating both rectangular and circular tables for my wedding reception. I know it’s not very common but I saw a few pictures and thought it was a different approach.
On the circular tables, I would do a tall centerpiece. Think circular vase with flowers. For the rectangular tables, I would keep it a little more simple. Maybe a table runner and a low rectangular type floral arrangement.
What are your thoughts on my “vision”?

I’m hoping to do mix nad match tables! I think it’s a great idea. You just need to get an idea of where everything is going to go. I recommend graph paper.

We didn’t have a head table, the bridal party sat at a rectangular table extended from the front to the center of the room, with the round guest tables all around. We sat at the head of the rectangular table, effectively at the front of the room.
We got several comments on how different and great it was!
Having even more mix and match sounds great to me!

Thanks ladies! I’d really have to work hard on a layout but I definitely want to consider the idea. It would be 50/50.

I really like the idea but turns out that my reception venue only has circular tables and I’m not willing to rent rectangular ones if they offer circular ones at no cost. Oh well. lol

I’ve seen this before and it looked really good!
There were 72 inch round tables and then 2 – 8ft tables put together to make bigger 6 ft x 8 ft tables. They used overlays on the round tables and then runners on the rectangular tables.
