I am a married bee. I just got married this past July. My engagement ring is an heirloom. I have never seen one like it. It is not my usual “style” but I love it. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. In addition, I did not get a wedding band because I couldn’t find one that complemented it. Any ideas for wedding bands should I choose to add one down the road? Thank you!

um, woah. It’s amazing! I think a plain white gold band band (like 2mm) would be really beautiful with it.

It’s beautiful! Congratulations! I love the tapered baguettes! What era is it from?

Beautiful ring! Stunning centre stone. Have you considered a baguette style band?

Beautiful. I love baguettes. Since it’s so blingy and unique already, I would pair with a plain white gold band.

Gorgeoussss. I love it!!! Baguettes are so lovely.
Are you worried about a wedding ring not lining up properly with the e-ring, and leaving gaps? If so, you can get wedding bands that are v-shaped that will follow the lines of your e-ring. One of those might work.

What about something like this?

@Ms_Midori: Thank you! I am not sure what exact era it is from. I need to ask my mother-in-law!

Thank you everyone for the fabulous suggestions and sweet comments! I think I would need to get a custom wedding band since my ring has a slight curve to it, and I don’t like gaps. I love the idea of a thin, plain white gold band. I also LOVE the suggestion from @blingbling! That is such a pretty band!

I have an antique ring too (not a family rinI. It’s from the 20’s). Because of the shape of a lot of vintage rings, custom tends to be thRowan to go if you don’t want a gap. I’ll be starting to visit jewelers in a month or two to see what they can create for my ring

@blingbling: that is exactly what i was thinking. it would be perfect.

Gorgeous! It actually looks somewhat like my own heirloom ring (from 1910 or so). I’m going to wear a thin band with it – it has a tiny gap but I don’t mind. Probably a custom slightly curved band might be best for you?

It is definitely one of the most unique rings I have ever seen, and you have the best of all worlds with so many shapes. One of my co-workers has a vintage e-ring as well and plans to pair a plain gold band with it.
