Actually, you might be able to still open a claim. Even though the time has run out, since you never, ever received your item, but still had communication and false promises coming from the seller they might be able to take action.I had this happen with me on ebay, and even though it was past the 45 days to open a claim I was able to talk with someone through ebay and get it worked out, including a refund.

I would try to find a number, or help through paypal or the Etsy.com site in general. I’m so sorry to hear this. I LOVE that site and most of the sellers are great, but there are always those few…

Hope you can figure something out!

This happened to me with SarahSeven and I never got my money back. Paypal couldn’t help because it was over 45 days. And Etsy did nothing to get my money back.

i would try to go thru paypal… they may still open a claim becuase as of the 11th she said it was being shipped.  Also, did you use a credit card on thru paypal?  if so you can have them investigate and they will get your money back!

Did you pay for the item through Paypal with a credit card? If so, you have recourse through your credit card company. I always, always use my credit card through Paypal when making ETSY purchases for this reason.

@MsInterpret: Maybe you could get back on Etsy and try again? I know this isn’t the same, but I found a seller that did very cute cake toppers and almost bought one myself. But our cake doesn’t really need a topper, so I didn’t go through with it.

Here’s and example of what they do…

And the seller’s shop name is dearjes

@Mrs.tobe: OMG we were totally looking at those ones!

OP, it’s definitely too late for you to file a Paypal claim. As an eBay seller myself, I totally understand your frustration at this lack of integrity.

@MsInterpret: Well, good luck with whatever you decide! It will all work out beautifully I’m sure!

@brideatbeach: So funny! I loved it, it was so very cute! Etsy.com is like my form of drug! I can’t stop buying…..aghhhh!
