My feeling is “meh”. I don’t think my life has suddenly become so much better because of it nor do I hate it. It just is what it is.

Am I the only one having problems with text and iMessages? Some don’t go through. Some don’t come through to me. I’ve tried turning iMessages on and off. Ugh. Hating it!

I saw what it looked like on friends/colleagues’ phones and just the insane amount of white was enough to turn me off.  It looks like they reverted back in time with the boring colour.  That and the strange child-like icons.  Also don’t like the white text in text messages, it seems hard to read.  It doesn’t seem like a professional looking phone, more a toy.

@canarydiamond:  Same here.  I’ll wait until I HAVE to upgrade.

I hated it. Battery life went terrible… Apple had it right for so many years… after the update; i went to the galaxy s4. The update made the phone seem very child-like.

@mamadingdong:  I had this problem too. I Googled it and found out Apple knows about this issue with some customers and is trying to fix it. Some people said doing a reset fixed the problem, I did this and it worked for me. At least for now! None of my iMessages were sending.

Overall I’m “meh” about iOS7, I’ve had issues, most of them I’ve solved but overall my phone seems a little bit slower than it used to be without it. I am due for an upgrade but I keep putting that off too.

@mamadingdong:  For mine all I did was turn the phone completley off for a few minutes and then turn it back on. You can also try turning off iMessages, rebooting the phone, then turning them back on. For a lot of people this is just a temporary fix it seems but at least it’s something. Mine has been fine since I did this, about a week now.

This is the thread were I read about the problem:

That gizmodo article has lots of tips for saving battery life in iOS7. Tried and true! My battery lasts forever. I have the 5.

I actually think the interface looks cleaner. I like that the apps look more like icons instead of overdone little pictures. I love that you can now use the swipe up feature to change your wifi, airplane, blue tooth, DND, brightness, ect., instead of wasting time fishing around in the settings. Apple should have done that a LONG time ago. I jailbroke my iOS6 to be able to do that, b/c I found it so annoying. Now I really don’t have a reason to jailbreak this version.

People, in theory, do not like change. In a few months, everyone will forget about what iOS6 looks like.

@Diamond84:  So I haven’t quite figured out how to work everything yet. But over all I don’t hate it. I actually like how it looks more than before. The white is nice to me and the less cartoonish graphics, and brighter colors are more appealing to me. I also like the little 3d effect they have going on with the icons and the background.

I do have some issues with battery life. so that would be my only complaint.

@Eight6Eleven:  Just went and did *most* of these things. Now let’s see if it actually has any impact on my battery life.

    I hate it!

Not only has it slowed my phone down to a snails pace so much that its barely worth the “smart phone” title but it randomly deletes recent notes i create.  Then it told me I had 58 unread messages in my mailbox only to change its mind 20 minutes later, it takes a solid minute to get the internet, refresh facebook, open the camera app etc.  I don’t have icloud set up, i disabled the automatic app update yet my batter lasts about half as long….

Now that little 1 is showing up again in my settings to upgrade the OS again….ummm…sorry I know what happened last time.

Yes, I have the iphone 4 and its old, but why push out an update if it wasn’t meant for that phone?  Thank you iOS7 but you are making the arguement on whether to buy a new iphone or the Galaxy much easier!
