My fiance is the same way, he had long hands so has room for any width, but about a size 9-9.5 so I little on the small side for men’s sizes. He initially thought he wanted something really narrow but then after trying on a bunch, he went with a 4mm comfort fit. We actually got matching ones as I have really large hands at also size 9 LOL. He also wears it around his neck quite often. the 4mm low profile gold band is pretty understated and he finds it comfortable.

My husband used to wear a 5mm yellow gold band. But he found it too heavy and bulky. Now he wears a yellow gold looking 4mm silicone band and never takes it off. I also think your husband should go comfort fit. Head over to a local jewelry store and have him try on a few and see what he likes

I don’t konw exact width of my husband’s ring but it’s definitely not the classic American chunky style. It’s probably 3-ish mm? We bought it while living in Europe though and a lot of the plain bands that we were being shown were just marked as gender neutral.
He didn’t think he’d care that much about the ring but then once we got to the jeweller’s it turned out he was SUPER picky. So I was glad that he tried a bunch on. Many of them looked very similar but once on the subtle differences were actually quite noticeable – so I think trying on is really important!!

ecrisrien : that band doesn’t look too thin or feminine.

Just do whatever it is you both want! My husband wanted a thinner than the norm band, he does not like the thick, heavy bands, and after trying on no less then 100 (seriously 🙄) he finally decided on a slightly thinner than the norm band. He did try on several thinner ones but felt they looked too dainty for his fingers. Just have him try on a bunch and whichever one he likes the best…BUY IT!
