I had my bridal portraits taken yesterday. I was not prepared at all, I didn’t have any time to find a bracelet or necklace or even a flower sash or belt! These are pic taken with my niece’s camera phone, I would like to know:
1. does the lace bolero look small on me (mainly in the shoulder area?)? This is the bolero that I am wearing. I feel it’s a size too small.
2. does my dress look alright without a bridal belt or flower sash?
3. I plan on wearing the bolero for church and maybe take it off for the reception. do i need a necklace to wear with the bolero or would that be too much?

I think it looks beautiful! A belt/sash would be nice, but I don’t think you absolutely need it. The bolero does not look too small to me. I suppose now that I’m studying your pictures looking for flaws, I can notice a little bit of puckering at your shoulders that might be due to the size, but I never would have noticed/thought that normally. I would probably wear a necklace after taking off the bolero (but not with it; it might look too busy, IMO).

1. No, not too small. I also can’t see your back, though- can you lift your arms comfortably?
2. Sash would be okay, but not necessary.
3. Necklace would be too much with the bolero. Maybe earrings and a bracelet?

@Ms Bookworm: Yes! That bit if shoulder showing at the end is what is bothering me. I keep adjusting the bolero to cover a little more but it doesn’t help.

I second earrings and a bracelet.

My bolero is from this store too 🙂
You look lovely and it doesn’t look too small at all. Do you have a shot of it from behind? I ordered the L size from this seller and found the shoulders did that and so I ordered the M and it’s better.
I love your dress 🙂 You could go with a belt, but I think it’s lovely how it is 🙂 I would wear a bracelet and not worry about the necklace.

You look beautiful and elegant as it is. Diamond pendant and bracelet would be nice add :-).

Beautiful! I love the dress and the little bolero is so cute. I wouldn’t add more to the neck area than a thin chain. A sparkly bracelet would look nice.

All depends on what you want. I think your bolero looks fine, but I would add some sort of (delicate) necklace and/or earrings and/or bracelet. Your dress is lovely, but it’s not so over the top that accessories would be gilding the lily. Likewise, I say rig up a cheap version of a flower sash to see whether you like the look before you go searching for the real deal. It’s by no means essential, but it would define your (lovely) silhouette even more.

@piiink: ooo lovely!
I think it looks absolutely lovely~ The bolero’s scalloped edge might make it appear a liiiittle short on the top of the shoulders but the next scalop lays perfect so I think it fits well actually.
a satin sash might help break up the lace a little but nothing too crazy.
I don’t think you need the bolero AND a necklace but I do think you could do with some lovely drop earrings? Or yes if you take your bolero off, I’d certainly add something up there because you know what they say… 90% of your photographs focus on the waist up!
Your dress is beautiful!

The bolero looks great! I have a sash on my dress and it’s very similar to yours; I think it adds a little something. A necklace, unless it’s just a simple chain with a small jewel or something, would be too busy. I love your wedding look!
