Hey Bees! I was SO excited because I broke 30 lbs lost today…that I posted a status update on FB! Now I’m getting requests for before and after pics and I’m terrified…Mostly because I am SO embarrassed of my before pictures…thoughts?

I wouldnt do it…I’m too private to have those pics on fb but its all about personal preference. Congrats on the weight loss btw!!

Its up to you, if you are embarrassed then don’t. Congratulations though.

I meant to vote for “I love lamp” too :[. I did vote for “It motivates me to see them” but if I were honest, it’s more like “It impresses me, but not so much as to give up my Doritos Locos Taco” haha.
If you’re not comfortable, definitely do it! If they’re your friends, they know what you looked like before so no need to put yourself out there if you don’t want that.

Just post a picture of your rocking body! If they want to see the before, they can dig through your pics!

Just post a picture of yourself now. I’m sure the before pics are already up there. People on FB don’t need to see everything.
And I voted for I love lamp.

@stephanie091512: “I did vote for “It motivates me to see them” but if I were honest, it’s more like “It impresses me, but not so much as to give up my Doritos Locos Taco””
Same here! While I’m currently losing weight myself (via WW), I wouldn’t really say it motivates me to see other people’s before and afters. But I do find it impressive.

@stephanie091512: I loved this so much that I added it as an option. lmao.

It would only be a negative thing if you were already underweight/normal weight and now you are (even more) underweight.
Although, I’m pretty sure many of those people don’t know that’s what they are. The BMI can be somewhat inaccurate for some people, but if it says you’re “underweight” now, proceed with caution. If it said you were “underweight” before too, that’s a big red flag to ask your doctor if you’re a healthy weight or not.
Otherwise, it would be motivating and a chance for your friends to congratulate you and ask for tips! 🙂

@joya_aspera: That’s an interesting perspective. A lot of people are saying “I didn’t know you had 30 lbs to lose!!!!” but I wore baggy clothes to hide my fat. My BMI was like 26 or 27 before the weight loss and now it’s 22 for reference. Here’s the photo, I think they would be pretty understanding once they saw it, but I do kind of feel like I need to “prove” that I’m not going from “normal weight” to “underweight” like you said!

@ChuckNorris: you look great girl! Congrats!!!!!
Im in the same boat, so far I’ve only posted my after pix.. I’ve been wondering if I should post a before and after, but I hate looking at my before pix as well lol

@ChuckNorris: you look awesome!

I’ve also thought about making a weight loss blog that way people can check it out if they want but they don’t have to
Post # 15
@ChuckNorris: Those are tasteful before and afters. If you’re comfortable, then post on FB. If you’re not, then just let it blow over.
You’re hot stuff by the way.

It is up to you. I lost 123lbs and never posted a before/after pic and never will. I dont think you should have to “prove” anything to anyone. However, your pics may help/inspire others!
