I would consider 50-60 to be average-sized. I also come from a not so well off family and my hometown is very working class, so nobody really has big weddings. They’re usually like 50 people at the local VFW. Very few people that I know (just facebook friends) have had larger weddings, like 100+ people.

Our wedding had 11 people, including us and the pastor.

bell616:  I would have liked a small intimate wedding, but due to both of us having big supportive families, our count started moving up. We are expecting 100 next month for our wedding. I think looking at it now, i would want each person who RSVP’ed at the wedding. 100 seems like a lot, but it’ll be fun and memorable <3

To me it depends on the size of your family. If you have a huge family then 50 is tiny. If you have a small family (my count is 1, his is 14) then 50 is more moderate. Just depends

We had a super small wedding. Including Darling Husband, myself, and our pastor, there was a total of 22 people present. Seven of that number were babies/kids. It was family only, and it was our compromise between eloping and having a “big” wedding with friends, coworkers, extended family, etc.. Here’s a good picture of what the ceremony looked like:

Only one person who was invited didn’t show up. I think I’d consider 50-75 people an average wedding, and anything larger than that would be big.

peteilo:  foam core. I wish I did, but no. the event coordinator at my venue made it for her wedding and had it hanging in her office. I convinced her to rent it to me and other brides to make extra money. She did it with her bridesmaids and several bottles of wine! It was EVERYTHING!

peteilo:  yes – foam core is more dense than styrofoam. This was pretty thick – at least 2 ins, so it’s sturdy

Our wedding had a little over 100 guests, which I feel is average. So I think 50ish people is small.

We’re having 12 guest so that’s definitely small. i would say 50 is still smallish.
