 TO MissEdamame:  actually I disagree.

It looks like he did a good job planning out his respectable Congratulations and Thank Yous… in that he’s got a concise list of heartfelt thanks.

Doesn’t seem to be “winging it” at all IMO

I think that his speach is very classy

And for that I APPLAUD him

@MrsEdamame:  CNN was reporting that he didn’t. I haven’t seen the speech, but I’ll watch it tomorrow once its posted online.

Does everything have to be negative always? The concession speech was gracious, as was the crowd.

I thought he kept it classy. I was kind of proud of him.

I think as someone who literally had about a half hour to deal with one of the most disappointing things of his entire life and gets to deal with that in front of the entire world, he did quite well.

It was the best speech he gave.  But it was clear that he didn’t prepare anything, but in fact he bragg3ed this morning that he only wrote a speech to ACCEPT the presidency.  Never be too cocky…just sayin’.

I thought the speech was very gracious. He and his team fought hard, and this is a sad day for them.

They said he only had one speech written, and didn’t expect to lose.

@chasesgirl:  I agree. I think people tend to lose sight of the fact that he’s a normal guy who put his heart and soul into this for the past 18 months.

I’ve never liked or remotely respected the man, but his speech was gracious. Despite my feelings on his beliefs, I can appreciate that this night must have been crushing and disappointing for him. If I were him I’d probably be curled up in a ball crying somewhere, so I have to give him props for pulling himself together in front of the world and delivering a nice speech.

I completely agree that Romney’s speech was gracious, and it felt to me that thanking everyone certainly wasn’t pre-written, but came straight from him as a man, rather than a political machine.

In other news, has anyone noticed Donald Trump completely losing his mind on twitter? It’s really funny.

@StuporDuck:  OMG yes. The news station I was watching showed some of them and the poor news anchors were trying so hard not to laugh. I don’t care what your politics are, Trump sounds insane right now.
