(Closed) Thoughts on themed weddings?

    They're fun! I love them!

They're okay IF they're done right.

Only if it's something meaningful to the bride/groom.

    I think they're over-the-top and ridiculous.

    The obligatory "other."

@ForeverBirds:   Some ways to incorporate your theme, there’s a lot of them

    – make a personal banner in the style of game of thrones, his last name and some short slogan/saying that is relevant to you – drape over your head table/sweetheart able

    – get custom toasting chalices/mugs (wine/beer), consider doing it for the headtable if money permits.

    – your invites, RSVps, STDs, etc

    – Seating chart as a map, from the book, blown up, list people’s names under the city names. Name your tables after GOT cities.

    – Trumpeteers for your ceremony? cocktail hour?

Basically always fun and cool. If someone chooses a theme and puts in the work to make it all go, it means it’s meaningful to them, so I like it without even having to see it.

In response to these Game of Thrones themes… after seeing the most recent red wedding episode, not so sure I want a GoT theme anymore… lol
