I completely relate to your dilemma. Choosing a wedding band to match your e-ring can be very tricky!

Both of the bands you posted are gorgeous, but I personally would not choose them to go with your e-ring.

That is a very wide band compared to the skinny band on the e-ring and I think that if you pair them together, the band will overwhelm your beautiful e-ring.

Another reason why I don’t think it would be a good fit is because that band is very intricate and detailed, and your e-ring is also somewhat elaborate and detailed due to the halo and the diamonds on the band. I think if you pair them together, it will be overkill.

If you had a really simple and minimal e-ring like a solitaire on a plain gold band, I would think that you could experiment with a detailed, intricate band like the ones you’ve posted.

I also think it’s best to be conservative and cautious when choosing the style of e-ring and wedding band that you’ll be wearing every day for the rest of your life. Keep it as simple as possible. Think of yourself at age 40, 50, 60, even 70. Mixing metals is not something that has generally stood the test of time. I think it would be a good idea to choose a wedding band that is the same metal as your e-ring.

I think that since you love rose gold so much, you should try to find a way to get that gorgeous, gorgeous rose gold band as a RHR.

OR … convince your DH to give it to you as an anniversary gift in a year or two.

If you’re still feeling undecided, try going to a jewelry store and try on lots of different styles with your e-ring. You might be surprised to find that things you were interested in (like these swirly, carved bands) don’t look as good IRL… and that ring styles you never considered might look much better than you would have expected.

I’m in a similar situation… DH is getting me an anniversary band, and I’ve been on a hunt to pick something out. I was positive I wanted one style and we even ordered it based on photos from the store’s website. Then yesterday I tried on an example in a store and HATED it so now we’re cancelling the order. Then while in the store I tried on a completely different kind of band — a style I never in a million years would have guessed I would like — and fell head over heels in love with it, and that’s the one we’re going with now.

Good luck!
