I came across this in a crafting email. I know the bee tends to be more traditional, but I’m curious what you think of this different veil style. Apparently Jessica Alba wore it in a fantastic four movie, but I don’t see movies often so I didn’t see it until now. Thoughts?

I think it’s beautiful and very classy.

Bird cage and traditional veil combo! I like it!

Best of both worlds! I love it!

I love it! Vintage elegance!

Birdcage veils are very trendy right now. I didn’t go with a birdcage because I was afraid it would look dated to this time period as a result. As for the long veil in the back.. I don’t know.. i think it would look better spaced out. It’s gathered a bit too much at the top- it only looks full when she holds it out.

very pretty! I couldn’t pull it off but I love how it looks!

At first I liked the “best of both worlds” combo! But looking at it longer, my attention is taken away from the dress because there’s so much going on up top. But I’m a birdcage-by-itself fan, so it might just be my bias showing. If you love it, do it!

I don’t really like the combination, myself. I could see one or the other, but not both. I agree with @MissTzatziki:, that it takes away too much attention from the dress.

I love each one separately, but don’t really care for them together.
I am really love birdcage veils though!

I like them both separately but not together. It is just too much going on.
If you really like both, why not wear a long, more-traditional veil for the ceremony and the more fun birdcage veil for the reception!

@Mrs.KMM: I’m actually not a fan of long veils, so I can’t decide how I feel about this style… part of me likes it, but part of me really questions it. I definitely don’t think I’m the type who could pull off the look, though. Anyway, I was just curious what others thought about it. I’m always interested in a new twist on an old tradition =o)

I love this look so much! I can’t decide if I want to do this or use tulle as a blusher because I’m afraid to look dated. I’m glad to find the pictures on this thread and I found this picture on the boards I love as well.
