Im looking to upgrade and was hoping to get some input on this setting. The center stone is not set.
I like the cushion halo with a round center stone but I’m just not 100% sure about this particular setting. Should it be more delicate? Does it look gaudy?
I’ve been pouring over pictures of settings and feel like I’m overthinking this process. Thanks!!!

If it helps, my ring size is a 6

I think it looks gaudy and more like a cluster than anything.

It’s all about personal taste. If you like it that’s what matters. Personally I would prefer the center stone set flush with the inner halo, rather than above it, maybe a cushion or princess cut to fit the shape of the halo.

It’s beautiful, but the double halo seems to overpower the center stone. Just my opinion, but if you love it you should get it!

Thank you! All of you have brought up a few of my concerns. The search continues! 😜

I think the halo detracts from the beauty of the center stone. That setting also looks very high and would annoy the crap out of me.

It’s a whole lotta ring. If you have the self confidence to rock it then do it.

I’m not a big fan of most halos anyway, and especially not double halos. That center stone gets lost in that setting. I think if you were going to have that much going around the center stone, it might has well be a cluster and spend less on the center then.

I’m so happy I posted on this site. I think I got caught up in all of the sparkle!

I have a double halo but I also have a cluster. I think it does detract from the beauty of the centre stone.

I obsessed over the the right halo for my taste and I only liked the delicate version…double halos are not for me.

it looks like a cluster… I love halos but a double halo and split shank is way too much going on at once…..

I have a double halo split shank and I absolutely loveeee it and all the sparkle and the finger coverage. However, like a PP mentioned, it would probably look better with a princess (what I have) or a cushion cut. Also, I think that the diamonds in the halos are too big which is why people are saying that it takes away from the centre stone. I’ll post a pic of mine… I find that the halos on mine accent the centre stone rather than overpower it.

Personally, I find the setting (double halo, split shank, etc,) to be gaudy. I prefer something more delicate like allthingsthatsparkle :
‘s ring…it’s much more my personal taste. However, you should get what you want and like. I have a cushion solitaire on a pave band which wouldn’t be others’ first choice either. 🙂
