I’ve been searching for a sentimental gift for my mother to give her at the wedding. I’m using the hankie idea, but also wanted something else. I came up with the idea to get something incorporating birthstones. Both my brother and I are getting married this year, so I’d use something with all our birthstones to show the family coming together (mom/dad/brother/FSIL/me/FI). I found this ring on Etsy that would work: http://www.etsy.com/listing/98263491/multi-simulated-gemstone-birthstone-ring?ref=af_you_favitem
The problem is our birthstones kind of look funky together! Here they are (there are only 5 because mom/brother were born in the same month)
What do you think? Good idea or go with something different?
ETA – for those of you who vote no, what’s your reason? (this will help me modify where to go with the idea if I choose something different!)

i dont think they look ‘funky’, i like theyll look ace togeth, in that order too because i think they would flow into each other!

i say go for it!

I don’t think it looks funky either. The ring shown has multiple colors, yours will be too just with different ones. I like it.

I love the meaning behind it. What a great idea.

I’m glad you’re ordering it! I love it! My mother has a mother’s ring (just two of us, so two stones on the top) and she LOVES it. She actually dropped her first one down the garbage disposal and was so upset that my dad had to go out and buy her a new one right away. I think your mom will love this.

I just got the mock up of the ring. I think it’s nice, looks a little “easter egg”ish, but it’s the meaning behind it that counts! The emerald stands out a lot more than the other colors, but that’s ok since green is her favorite color. 🙂 I ended up ording one for my Maid/Matron of Honor as well with birthstones of her, her hubby, and newborn baby.
