This is a .70 center stone….does it need a band?

The ring is absolutely Beautiful, I love it. I would still wear a band since the band has special meanings for me. How about a very thin simple one surfinroxygirl :

So pretty! I wouldn’t necessarily say it NEEDS a band, especially when the split shank is so strongly defined. But it certainly wouldn’t look bad with a band either, I don’t think you could lose either way.

Very nice! Band is personal preference. I like a band because I can wear it alone as well, but you certainly don’t *need* one.

Would this band look good?

That is gorgeous. I agree I do not think it needs a band.however I would tell you to consider something maybe thin if you really want another band or something textured like loops or different pattern other than just being straight because it would add a bit of dimension. But as a standalone ring.. it is beautiful on it’s own too.

I ended up with a cushion cut halo split shank and I love it! Thanks for all the help!

Beautiful ring, congrats! What are the specs? It looks a lot bigger than the pear. surfinroxygirl :

Nice choice! looks more substantial than the pear!

Thank you! I’m so happy with it. It’s a little over 1 carat set in platinum size 5. The sides and halo give it a lot of bling.
