This dress looks like it would be fairly unforgiving.  I personally don’t really like the style, but I can see it being fantastic in the right context.  I can’t see many non-bridesmaid occasions in which the dress could be worn…

It’s cute, but if I were your bridesmaid, I would wear it again. I’ve got a tummy and that fabric won’t be forgiving on it!

I think it is really, really pretty, but if one of your bridesmaids is concerned about the looks of her tummy, this is probably not a dress she will feel confident in unless she is somewhat unusual. It is super drapey and tight around the middle. . . I love dresses like this, but I am not super content with how my stomach looks so I never wear these types of dresses.

Does BHDLN have other styles that might be more forgiving in the same color? They have a lot of really, really beautiful stuff.

I can’t seem to properly copy pictures from their website– just links– so here are some suggestions: Thalia maxi dress in blush or maybe go for some of their shorter styles? I don’t know if you are set on having your bridesmaids wear long dresses, but I saw a number of their shorter bridesmaid dresses that would harmonize nicely with your dress, I thought. And they have lovely color selections, too.

It’s pretty but I agree with previous posters that it doesn’t look particularly forgiving for someone with a bit of a belly. I’d keep looking.

    How about this one?

I think it could be pretty, but I agree with PPs about it not being very flattering. I feel like it would highlight every lump & bump. Unless your BMs all have a great physique I would pass

Ha, how do we always like the same things?  This was my top choice for my Maid/Matron of Honor but it didn’t fit her well.  We returned the dress, but I remember the fabric being flowy, good construction, and the color was a soft dove grey.  Its very flattering for small busts and the ruffles were adorable.  My Maid/Matron of Honor is very apple shaped, though, and it was too tight on her butt.  I think if she had sized up and got the bust taken in, it would have worked, but she didn’t feel comfortable- she likes A lines to hide her bottom half.

Anyway…all of this rambling is to say that I think you should try it!  If both of your BM’s are slim, I think it will great.

@peonyinparis:  Yeah, I think it was TTS.  She’s typically in-between sizes and we ordered the smaller one, and it was tight around the rear (as expected).

Not to veer off-topic, but what headpieces did you order?  On Saturday, it will be 2 weeks for me- eek! 🙂
