It’s missing something.  Like centerpieces and lighting.

I think the ceilings are a little low, but the window is nice, and it’s a pretty neutral canvas to do up however you like.

those lights are a bit weird and very Seventies lol…. looks a bit better with the fairy lights in the second photo but needs more. Perhaps fairy lights and lots of candles on the tables. I’d try my best to use as much extra light as possible, and would stay away from black, as it is already a dark room. Warm, light colours and lots of candles should do the trick. Or better still, ask the venue to change those light coverings!

@SapphireSun:  I agree about the ceilings. It may be a little dark in there but I think it’s a clean enough slate to do a lot with!

It definitely has potential!! It just looks like a normal room to me.. it’s pretty neutral and you could do a lot with it.

Make it your own and it’ll be fabulous!

There’s nothing really wrong with it, but  looks a bit generic.  However, that’s not necessarily a a negative.  It’s a blank canvas that you can make your own with decorations and make it match your vision.  I think it’s workable with some imagination.

@lalabee27:  If you’re allowed to decorate the ceiling at all, some well places lanterns or sphers could make a lot of impact.

I wouldn’t pick it personally, but there isn’t anything wrong with it. Then again one of my very bigggest priorities is how the venue looks. If yours is good food, tons of flowers, or a Pnina, this venue would be fine. There really isn’t anything wrong with it, it just isn’t special at all. But sometimes a blank slate can be a good thing.

It needs lighting. Possibly some good uplighting will help it a lot?

I think the lighting fixtures are colored yellow or brown, which seems to absorb the lighting. are the lights on one of those intensity dials? It just seems so dark.

It is fine, but the lights are distracting to me. Do you know if they are dimmable, or is it full on/full off?

I think some uplighting and not relying on those lights as your main source of light would do a lot for this venue. Uplighting can also make those pillars look AMAZING instead of like they are in the way.

But seriously – it looks clean, well cared for, and like they take care when setting up for a wedding. That counts for a lot. Venue choice is dependent on so many variables – what vendors they allow you to use, what kind of staff you get, price, location, parking, etc. It’s impossible to pick off of one photo alone.

If price were no issue – no, I wouldn’t pick this venue. But if this fits your budget well, allows you flexibility with vendors, is in a good location and has plenty of parking – I think it could do the job!
