I hate traditional tiaras.  I’ve always found them gaudy and too princessy for my taste.

But that is not a traditional tiara.  It’s more like an embellished headband and I love it.

I think of this more as a headband/headpiece than a tiara. I love it! So cute.

I voted Nay on tiaras, I think they are becoming fairly dated I guess.

I like tiaras, as long as they are fairly small and not huge or over the top a la big fat gypsy weddings

ETA: I don’t have the desire to be a princess or anything (although I am considering the 2011 Alfred Angelo Belle dress) I just like the look of tiaras

@justjade:  That is not a tiara, because that is beautiful. I see that as more of an embellished head band or clip.

    This is a tiara

I’ve never seen anyone in real life pull it off. I don’t understand the whole desire to be a princess when you get married either though

I think tiaras look ridiculous, to be honest.  OP, the same photo that you posted is not a tiara by any means, and looks very pretty!

Generally i say no to tiaras! But Lady Mary is (always) the exception! i love the vintage style headband/piece.

I guess I am by myself, but then again mine is an actual crown, a remake of the crown queen Elizabeth wore on her wedding day, it’s only like 2 inches tall though so it’s not to scale, but I will wear it with pride, tackiness or dated be damned.

If that is your definition of a tiara, then yes. Otherwise, I’m not a fan.

Can’t stand them. Too dated. Too princessy to me.

@Sassy9226:  Rock it!  To each their own.  My Boyfriend or Best Friend wore a tiara and she loved it!

    I don’t like tiaras, but I LOVED Mary’s headband! I wish I could find a similar one.

I wore a crown and it was beautiful. Some people on here are really rude about them but I HAVE seen people ‘pull them off’ and they looked amazing. The tiara you posted is beautiful, rock it without worry!

Here’s my beauty, I was worried about wearing it because of people on here but in the end I was so happy  I did!

I agree that is more of a headband than a tiara.

I think tiaras look awful unless they are “real”. If they aren’t made of real precious metals and stones, then it’s a bit like saying you are something you’re really not.

I hate most costume jewelry for the same reason.
