Would it be weird to use a recording of a song my choir sang as my wedding march? I fell in love with it as soon as I heard our recording, it’s really friggin’ sweet and the audience cried when we sang it. I knew black then, when I was celebrating five-years single that I’d use it in my wedding someday. I’ve edited the track to clean it up. I’m worried, though, that it’s too long and the voices will be a distraction.
For anyone who’s able to weigh in without listening to the recording (which isn’t us but sounds like us – just a little slower), it’s more “mood” music in sometimes almost untranslatable Spanish (very old text). This is for an 11am church wedding. If I don’t use it as the march, does anyone have by suggestions as to where else I could use it?
Amor de mi Alma, Z Randall Stroope (TheTempleVision)
English Translation: cue parents & bridesmaids:
I was not born but to love you.You my soul has cut to its measure:it’s you I want as a cloak for my soul.
cue flower girls:
Your every aspect is written on my soul:I no more than read, that within it,even from you I might hide myself.
How much I must confess I owe you:for you I was born, for you I have life. Were it necessary, for you I would die;and for you I do die.
Sorry for the truncated poll options and typos – my iPad does not like weddingbee. Thank for the feedback!
