We just had our reception at Columbia Firehouse. It was absolutely the perfect place for us. We had about 75 people in the wine room and chop house upstairs for a cocktail-style reception, but you can definitely have a seated dinner. The director of private dining, Lauren Huey, is who you’ll be dealing with. She’s absolutely professional and will help in any way she can. The food was perfect, the price was right, the space is beautiful, and there was plenty of room for dancing.

Maybe my favorite thing about the whole experience was how flexible the restaurant was. They were willing to make a few last minute changes and help set up and break down a few things. If you go with them, know that Lauren is not a wedding coordinator or planner. She won’t really provide much in the way of how to decorate the room or which flowers to get. That didn’t matter too much to us, though.

If you need anything else, let me know!

Just came across this post.  We have our CH receiption booked and are pretty excited.  We love the food (and the beer!).  Lauren has been great so far and all seems well.  We love the room upstairs and are shooting for a similar size reception 65-75 people.  Did you have a dance floor?  And if so how did you position it in the room?

@phx2dca:  We are also having our wedding reception at the CH, this October. We plan to meet with Lauren next month to discuss details like dance floor and set up for tables and chairs. I will keep you posted!
