That will be SO pretty on you! The gold and brown tones will really make your blue eyes pop! Try to get individual fake lashes rather than the full line, they’re a lot more comfortable and look more real, plus you don’t get that fake eyelash line. Are you DIY-ing or hiring a MUA?

You have great features. (lucky you!)  I wonder if you might want to go with a different eyeshadow color though, if you want them to *pop*.  I wonder if that gold eyeshadow look might be a little to matchy-matchy to your hair color.

Edit:  Sorry!  I just realized you wrote that you have blue eyes.  In the pic they looked brown.

Wow your eyes look so blue in the 2nd pic!  I agree with @bakerella:, that gold color should look great with your eye color.

I think you are beautiful, not nerdy at all.

About the makeup, yes, I think every bride should totally get it done professionally, if it can be accommodated in the budget.  Those girls work WONDERS! One less thing for you to worry about on your day, too.

LOVE the cheeks/lips in the first pic. I love the sultry eyes in the first.  LOVE! But the gold in the second, might be a little much on your wedding day (at least the pictures with the eyes closed — looks a little heavy). I would stick to more neutral browns.  Gold might be too matchy with your hair, and perhaps too sultry.

At least for me, I’m definitely going to go heavy on the makeup so it looks great in pictures, but with VERY natural shades, so it looks natural, if that makes sense…

@CorgiTales: I guess I mean more “brown” versus gold.  There’s a basic wedding look that all makeup artists I am familiar with do … it is very very very natural, no metallics or “color” other than tans/browns and maybe subdued greens.  Champagne would work as a blending color but would be too light on your lids to show up.

This is totally personal preference, but I want my wedding look, from the dress, to the hair to the makeup and jewelry, to be as elegant and timeless as possible.  I LOVE the modern look but know that it’s just not me for my wedding.  So in terms of wedding makeup, I tend to gravitate towards makeup that is natural, somewhat subdued, and will look pretty forever, even if it may not look completely stunning today.  So basically, that just means to stay away from metallics, strange colors (like silver/purple on your eyes) and anything trendy.

But that’s just my thoughts…I think you’ll look pretty no matter what, you do have gorgeous features.  And definitely go for the individual fake lashes (as bakerella suggested), they complete the look and are amazing!

I think that’ll look really really nice. The gold will compliment your hair colour, but like PP have said, it will make your blue eyes stand out. It’s natural, but still awesome enough for a wedding!
