For some reason my skin freaks out with threading I stick to waxing.

I choose waxing just because I’ve done it all my life and never had a problem. Plus I heard threading hurts, is pricier and there isn’t a salon by me where I could try it. One sided I know but I would stick with wax.

@hotchildinthecity:  I think it hurts less than waxing, but I think everyone is different.  lol.  I LOVE threading so much more than waxing!!  🙂

Threading works best on my facial skin. Waxing makes me break out for some reason.

I love threading and I love how common (and cheap!) it is in NYC. It definitely is more precise and accurate than waxing. Its easier to shape the brows i think. If you have a good person threading you who knows what they’re doing, they’ll yank out the brows at the root. I’ve had some threaders just break the hair at the skin (while also irritating and leaving scrapes on my eyebrows).

@hotchildinthecity:  threading for sure. I used to pluckwax and then my sister turned me on to threading and I have never touched tweezers or wax since. I will say though that everytime I get in the chair and the girl starts doing my eyebrows, I cry inside my head and ask myself why I came back when I know full well that it hurts like a B****!!!! I have to just scream silently in my head lol but to the rest of the world I look like a normal straightfaced, quiet, human being just getting her eyebrows done. inside I look like this …

Is it odd that I just pluck?  I only have a few strays, so for me, it’s always been easier (and FREE!!) to just use the tweezers.  I suddenly feel like I’m way behind the times 🙁

@DaneLady:  Don’t feel bad. My younger sister had to make me go because I had no idea what it was. She saw me tweezing one day and was like “oh no…..lets go! im taking you to get yours threaded old lady!” lol

I prefer threading because I think it’s a lot more accurate. I was a regular waxer, but then one day after my monthly appointment I realized that half my eyebrow was gone. Boo…

Threading. It’s more accurate, and I already have pretty sparse brows. It hurts, but the more you have it done, the less it hurts. My skin is also really sensitive, so I ALWAYS break out with waxing. I pay $12 with a tip, I think? It’s been a while; I’ve been trying to grow them in as much as I can.

None of the above.  I just tweeze when there are stray hairs and have never felt a need to do more than that.

I prefer waxing. Threading doesn’t get all the fuzz like wax does for me.
