Okay, so I have been anxiously trying to get pregnant (just like every other individual on the TTC board!) and AF is currently three days late. However, everytime I take an APT I ended up with a BFN. I understand my body could just be messed up and AF is on its way BUT there is also that chance that the APT just isn’t picking up my hormones yet. SO, here is the important part… I leave on Friday to work out of town for two weeks. I would REALLY like to know before I leave if I am pregnant or not and want to call the doctor to see if they would order a blood test. Am I acting too soon? It would be easier to sit back and be patient if I knew I wasn’t going to be gone for two weeks… PLUS, I am on antidepressants so it would be very nice to know if I am pregnant so I could wean off of them. Opinions??

Kristen0160: I’d see what happens today and then tomorrow, test in the morning and call your doctor

Kristen0160: are you sure you know when you ovulated? my O date varies, but my LP is consistent. so my cycle length is always different.

Yeah, I’d say you’re getting a bit ahead of yourself. Why do you want to know before you leave?
If it’s because you want to know if you should pack tampons, pack them.
If it’s beacause you want to know if you can drink on the trip, there are a lot of people who would say drinking in moderation before 8ish weeks is fine. But if you don’t want to risk it, don’t risk it until AF shows up?
If it’s because you’re going to see someone on the trip who you would like to tell about being pregnant, maybe hold off anyway until the pregnancy is 100% viable or whatever.
I hope you ARE pregnant! That would be awesome. I’d just hate for you to be “that girl” who starts her period as the blood is being drawn for a pregnancy test.
