I saw this movie a couple weeks ago, and while it’s exactly as OP and PP’s have described – disturbing, raunchy, and extremely long – I actually didn’t mind it. I’m a huge Leo fan, so that’s maybe why it wasn’t that bad for me. I can definitely see though this movie not being every ones cup of tea.

Fiance and I love funny movies, but neither one of us laughed once during this whole thing. I know Scorcese was trying to portray a few certain messages, it was just too much for me. It was boring and disgusting. We counted 8 people who got up and left, and those were just the ones we actually noticed.

Ugh. Who woulda thought 3 hours of nonstop sex and drugs could be such a snoozer? I think Scorsese himself fell asleep halfway through filming. Marty, it’s called an “editor.”

I’ve yet to hear anyone say this movie didn’t have a storyline.. I guess you missed it.. being so disturbed the whole time.
It was a great movie, both Leo and Jonah gave excellent performances. I think the point of the movie was to showcase their debauchery.. the stock fraud played second fiddle because.. well, he barely served jail time for it.

Aw, we thought it was great. DiCaprio was fantastic, though I don’t think he’ll win the Oscar. I can name a dozen movies that feature male nudity, not sure why it’s so controversial in this movie?

I refuse to see it. The man who it was based on had a cameo in it. It’s one thing to tell his story; but quite another to give him screen time. Talk about disgusting!!

+1. I saw it with my fiancé and parents…even my dad who is a tad reserved really enjoyed it!
