That is exactly how I felt! I just wanted more…plot!
I didn’t find the rape scene as disturbing because it really showed that the last shreds of his humanity were gone. Plus, it was near the end and I was happy to be done with it.
As far as the male nudity being offensive… I don’t think it’s offensive. I find the word disturbing to be different than offensive.
The male orgy scene actually made me laugh. Yet, Jonah Hill’s penis made me seriously cringe.

@Billsgirl: I can’t agree more! I did not enjoy it at ALL. Besides the acting which was great by Leo…everything else sucks.

Yeah, as @MsMonkey said :
I’m not a conservative person, so it wasn’t exactly the content… it was the use of it. It was just totally pointless. It had no heart. Even the most vulgar of movies usually have some sort of purpose or story to tell, where this movie just used vulgarlity for vulgarity’s sake. Pretty lame.

Nope…I think you MISSED it.

@Billsgirl: I disagree with you big time.
If you know the story about the real Jordan Belfort, you would know its part of the story line. Its Wall Street! ALl those stock brokers back then and even today are nuts and money hungry.
Disturbing? Thats a little too much.
WHen I see a movie thats disturbing, I think of movies that include a rape scene thats too realistic.
YOu want to see a “disturbing” movie, see 12 Years a Slave, thats heartbreaking and disturbing.
The acting in both Wolf and 12 Years were amazing.

Uh, Yeah…I must’ve missed that commercial on the tele… wtf. If it were advertised as such, I highly doubt ANYBODY would sit through three hours of that shit. jesus.

don’t remember that scene at all…clearly it didn’t stand out to me. The coke out of the hookers butt….that I remember.

I actually liked the movie, but also being a Scorsese fan, it wasn’t as good as I thought it’d be.
I found it interesting that it was based on a real guy, and instead of making you like Leo they made him a person you couldn’t relate to and didn’t like. Hard to do because he’s so dreamy!
DEFINITELY too much sex and drugs. At one point I was like ‘Ok, we get it, this man has a big sex and drug problem, lets continue on with the story!’. Seriously, they could’ve cut out an hour of that and there’d still be lots of sex and drugs.
The use of ‘fuck’ actually made the record for most time used throughout a movie I believe, but I didn’t think it was that bad since it was spread out throughout a few hours.
I think this movie has its place in the world. It might not be everyones cup of tea but it’s award-worthy.

Nobody disagreeing with the movie has bashed the ACTING
. The script was fucking AWFUL though…. I knew nothing about the story about the real Jordan Belfort even after I sat through 3 hours of the movie!!!! When half the theater LEAVES
in the middle of the movie, there’s something wrong.
