I would go with a 7×5 or 8×6 mm emerald cut. I think that would look great flanked by .4mm rounds. Also lab created rubies and sapphires (which come in all colors) are very affordable and durable.

Maybe a sapphire cushion? That would be really pretty!

What is the budget for another stone? I like lab created sapphires. They come in so many colors.

I have a cushion sapphire.  It’s dreamy!

This 6x6mm lab sapphire was around $5 on Ebay, I bought it to put in my original e ring setting and like you, did not have a huge budget for that. There were some labor costs to rebuild the prongs although I don’t remember exactly how much

  • widget01 :  your ring is gorgeous! I thought it was a natural sapphire, I am stunned that it only cost you about $5. I have a feeling I am going to be getting one (or 10) in the future

mrsjsh :  oh yes once you get started looking, it’s hard to stop. My only complaint about mine is it’s a little too perfect clarity-wise. I think my next stone might be an included lab ruby. I saw some a few months ago and they have so much personality 🥰
