While I don’t have an oval, I have a three stone ring with an elongated cushion so I hope you don’t mind me chiming in!

one of the things I’d recommend you looking into is ratio/actual dimensions of your center stone. An oval that is 1.5 carats can vary by ratio and look different. So if you want your side stones to be a certain size compared the overall length of your center stones, it makes sense to keep that in mind vs carat length only.

Fwiw my side stone are about .5 carats each and I think any bigger would have made my ring look “chunky”. Hope you’ll post a pic when you decide ๐Ÿ™‚

My diamonds aren’t quite as large but if you like the proportion of my ring you could always scale up ๐Ÿ™‚

I absolutely love a round with pear side stones, it is such a beautiful classic setting! My center diamond is .60ct and each pear is .10ct.

I love when the pears are angled slightly downward to fit along the band, otherwise you often get the “butterfly effect” which I’m not so much a fan of and I prefer smaller pears so the center diamond stand out a bit.

@AsscherCutQueen:  thank you! My profile is different than the ring you’re looking at (I love the floral elements  of your future ring!) and I don’t have a CAD because my husband purchased it from Shane Co ๐Ÿ™‚ the only thing about my ring is that it’s a bit difficult to get under the pears to clean them!
