Wow!! I wish I was your ring twin, that’s incredible!
Thank you for the lovely comments! I see so many gorgeous rings on here, I figured mine really isn’t that unique at first glance. I designed the look and my fiance did the rest (size, shape of stone, etc.) The best part is our initials are engraved under the basket. I’m very lucky and blessed. I may have the halo redone at some point (I like a stronger look to highlight the shape of the center stone) but still undecided.
@Sporty-Bee: I don’t mind at all. The side trapezoids are .88 each (measure 4.9 x3.4) and the center is about 2ct (8.2 X 5.9). When I was looking I also considered trillions, but I was also deciding between oval, radiant, or emerald. For me, the traps just worked so well with the step cut and shape of the emerald cut. If I would have gotten an oval, I probably would have done trillions instead for the overall look and flow of the design. I hope that helps and happy shopping!
Not a ring twin but oh my lord. Gorgeous ring!!
@cpmhjpj: thanks! It looks fabulous. I am thinking I’ll go the trapezoids way. I am nervous about the trillions having too sharp edges. Worried the super pointy edges might make them more susceptible to cracking. That problem is fairly common in princess cut. My friend’s ring was a princess and indeed cracked. Heck sometimes they crack when they are being mounted!
