Pssshhhh. Pilot made the right call. 3 year old didn’t want to put his seatbelt on? Tough shit, you’re on a plane, there are safety rules in place for a reason, 3 year olds are not to be negotiated with.

It’s a safety issue.  The parents couldn’t control the child, they were warned, and didn’t comply.  The pilot aboslutely made the right call.

I agree with the pilot. It’s not rocket science. They warned the parent plenty of times.

I’m with the pilot on this one. A seatbelt is non-negotiable. We can tell who wears the pants in that household.

I totally agree.  Also, this is the time for the parents to bring along a little Benadryl and knock the kid out.

I’m kidding.

Kinda.

I think the pilot was in the right… if the kid couldn’t follow the safety rules that everyone else has to adhere to, I think the airline had the right to ask the family off the plane.

Ok.. seriously, his parents should have told him to sit his butt down. They have no reason to be upset? Sometimes i wonder if parents are afraid of their children? Thats so crazy!

Agreed, they were warned serveral times.. safety rules are to be followed, no exceptions for fussy 3 year olds.  I feel for the parents though, i’m sure it can be rough flying with a child, but agree with the pilot.

IMO….What if something happend during take off??? The seat belts are there for a reason. If the plane would have crashed or made a rough emergency landing quick and something out have happened to the child, theres a good chance they would have blammed the airline.

i know as another passenger on that flight i would have been annoyed all around – at the kid, parent and pilot! flying is such an ordeal as is. to have my flight delayed because of something so stupid (just put on the damn seatbelt, kid!) would have sent me into a silent rage … since a vocal rage would probably get me kicked off the flight too!

I feel bad for parents bc kids are kids and u can’t always predict how they will behave but its a safety issue and the pilot made the right choice.

WOW if you can’t tell your child to do one simple thing, then that’s sad and you deserve all that’s coming to you.

And I’m sure if the plane had taken off, and the kid had been thrown from his seat and injured for not properly wearing the seatbelt the parents would have sued the pants off the airline.
